Bangladesh Railway has started selling advance train tickets from Wednesday, May 21, ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, which is expected to be observed on June 7.
According to the railway authorities, intercity train tickets are being sold 10 days in advance. Tickets for journeys on May 31 are now available. For the western region, ticket sales begin at 8:00am, while for the eastern region, sales start at 2:00pm each day.
Schedule for Advance Ticket Sales (Before Eid):
May 21- tickets for May 31, May 22- tickets for June 1, May 23- tickets for June 2, May 24- tickets for June 3, May 25- tickets for June 4, May 26: tickets for June 5, May 27- tickets for June 6.
Return Ticket Sale Schedule (After Eid):
May 30- tickets for June 9, May 31- tickets for June 10, June 1- tickets for June 11, June 2- tickets for June 12, June 3- tickets for June 13, June 4: Tickets for June 14, June 5- tickets for June 15.
How to Purchase Tickets:
Passengers can buy tickets through the Bangladesh Railway’s official app or website: https://railapp.railway.gov.bd. New users must register once, while existing users can log in to access ticket sales.
