Bangladesh showcased its manufacturing prowess and product diversity at “Sourcing at MAGIC 2026” international fashion fair in Las Vegas, seeking new opportunities in the US apparel market.
The Bangladesh pavilion captured the attention of global buyers and industry stakeholders during the event.
According to a Ministry of Commerce press release issued on Thursday, 20 Bangladeshi readymade garment (RMG) and textile firms participated with 21 booths at the three-day exhibition.
The event was held from 10 to 12 August at Las Vegas Trade Centre in Nevada, USA.
The Bangladesh pavilion was organised under the overall management of Bangladesh Consulate General in Los Angeles, with financial assistance provided by Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
Sourcing at MAGIC is considered one of North America’s premier fashion sourcing trade fairs, where garment manufacturers, textile and fabric suppliers, buyers, brands, and designers from across the world gather.
The fair serves as a critical platform for entering the US market and connecting with global sourcing networks.
This year’s fair featured more than 800 stalls with participants from 24 countries, including Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, and the USA. Approximately 8,500 visitors attended over the three days, of whom more than 73 per cent were high-level buyers and industry policymakers.
According to the press release, Bangladeshi exhibitors displayed a wide range of products, including knitwear, woven garments, casual wear, cotton shirts, premium denim, specialised washed items, and high-value formal wear.
These exhibits highlighted the country’s manufacturing capabilities and competitive advantages.
During the fair, Bangladeshi exporters engaged in a large number of business meetings and trade discussions with international buyers, resulting in new business inquiries and potential export orders.
The ministry mentioned that the participation demonstrated the Bangladesh garment industry’s readiness to adapt to the changing demands of the global fashion sector.
According to the ministry, such international participation plays a vital role in increasing the visibility of Bangladeshi products in the US market, diversifying export destinations, and reinforcing the country’s position as a reliable sourcing hub.
