Detective police have arrested incumbent Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Moshiur Rahman, who was serving with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), in connection with a case filed over enforced disappearances.
According to DB sources, Moshiur was detained on Thursday afternoon while on duty at the CID headquarters. The arrest was confirmed by the chief of the Detective Branch.
Prosecution officials said Moshiur faces a case filed with the International Crimes Tribunal in connection with enforced disappearances. He is expected to be produced before the tribunal.
