Asian Football Confederation has postponed the draw for the AFC Asian Cup finals.
The draw was set to take place in Riyadh on April 11. The AFC said the event will now happen on a later date. The decision aims to ensure all key stakeholders can attend without disruption.
The region has seen several sports events delayed or cancelled. This comes due to the ongoing conflict that began after attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran last month.
Saudi Arabia will host the 24-team tournament for the first time. The final round of qualifiers will take place on Tuesday.
Qatar are the defending champions. They have already qualified for the finals. Japan, South Korea, Iran, Jordan, Australia, and Uzbekistan have also secured their spots.
Earlier, the AFC confirmed that the final stages of the AFC Champions League Elite will go ahead as planned. The matches will be held in Jeddah from April 13 to 26.
