The Pushpa team bagged five major honours for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at the SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards) in Dubai. Director Sukumar, stars Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, music composer Devi Sri Prasad and producer Naveen Yarneni were all in attendance.
During the ceremony, the host’s questions about a possible third instalment prompted Sukumar to confirm. He said, “Of course we are making ‘Pushpa 3’.” The announcement, met with cheers from the audience, revealed the title ‘Pushpa 3: The Rampage’.
At SIIMA, Allu Arjun won Best Actor, Rashmika Mandanna Best Actress, Sukumar Best Director, Devi Sri Prasad Best Music Director and Shankar Babu Best Playback Singer for the song ‘Peelings’.
Acknowledging the accolades, Allu Arjun later wrote on social media: “Thank you SIIMA for the continuous love and recognition. Winning three SIIMA awards in a row is truly an honour. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees. This achievement is for my director, every artist, technician, producer and the entire crew of Pushpa. I dedicate these awards to my fans… grateful for your unwavering love and support.”
