BNP Standing Committee member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain has stated that the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, will return to the country within a few weeks.

He shared this information while delivering the chief guest’s speech at the national conference of the Purbani Bank Employees’ Association on Saturday.

Mentioning that the election will be held in February, he said that the fallen autocrat, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, is trying to sneak in from behind and snatch the rights of the people.

This member of BNP’s Standing Committee said that those who do not believe in the country’s independence and sovereignty are conspiring.

He said that the demand for the PR system is illegal. The constitution cannot be thrown into the dustbin just because one wishes to. Instead of being emotional, the people’s aspirations must be understood.
