To commemorate the martyrs of the July Mass Uprising, a tree plantation programme will be held in every district tomorrow. The number of trees planted in each district will match the number of martyrs from that area.
The initiative is part of the ongoing July Reawakening observance, reports BSS.
As part of the remembrance, a musical video will be shared on social media on July 19, the day named as Genocide and Student-Public Resistance Day. The video will feature the theme song “Koto Biplobi Bondhurer Rokte Ranga” (Soaked in the Blood of Revolutionary Comrades).
According to the programme schedule, Part 5 of the documentary “Testimony of a Martyr’s Family” will be broadcast on the same day, along with a video recollection by a July fighter. These contents will be disseminated through the official Facebook pages, YouTube channels, and other social media platforms of all ministries and departments. The video links will also be sent to mobile users across the country.
In addition, a memorial gathering will be held in Savar, Dhaka, to honor the martyrs.
Important locations around the country will screen films related to July, including “Enforced Disappearance,” “Abrar Fahad,” and “Aynaghar Stories.”
