In a statement delivered in Bengaluru on Thursday, Union Minister Jitendra Singh alleged that Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has led youth demonstrations across Delhi and various other states, is receiving financial backing from overseas anti-India organisations and non-governmental bodies.

According to Singh, authorities possess concrete proof that CJP and its leadership are being financed through unauthorised channels, including contributors in the United States and political figures in Pakistan.

He specifically claimed that CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke has accepted monetary support from US-based donors, while Ashutosh Ranka has received payments from Pakistani politicians.

The union minister further claimed that foreign-funded NGOs, covert deep-state actors, and hostile entities are actively driving the narrative, reports The Week.

Denying the assertions, the CJP described the charges as an illustration of deteriorating standards in public discourse, criticising a union minister for offering unaccountable allegations.

In a statement published on the social media platform X, the party remarked that a union minister can say anything and get away with it, arguing that this is precisely why the words of those occupying the highest positions hold no value today.

The accusations follow broader claims from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that the Opposition Congress party is obtaining overseas funding to fuel an anti-government narrative.

In response, Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge called on the BJP to present documentation supporting its claims. Kharge challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in a public debate on the issue, proposing Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat as the moderator.

Questioning the rationale behind the Minister’s statements, Kharge asked what the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) were doing, arguing that failing to produce a single document or piece of evidence calls into question the competence levels of Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and RAW.
