The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours from 9am on Saturday.

“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” the Met Office said.

Day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining areas has intensified into a well-marked low-pressure system over the Southeast Bay and adjoining Andaman Sea.

It is likely to move west-northwestwards and intensify further.
