Inter-transportation at Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur will be facilitated following the donation of a 12-seater electric cart by Modhumoti Bank under its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
The cart was handed over to the Department of Prisons, Dhaka, on Tuesday, according to a press release on Thursday.
The bank Managing Director Md Shafiul Azam handed over the cart key to Inspector General of Prisons Brigadier General Md Anwarul Kabir, at the Head Quarters of Dhaka Central Jail in Bakshibazar, Dhaka.
Modhumoti Bank Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer Arab Fazlur Rahman and Deputy Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer Arif Hasan Khan attended the event.
Additional IG of Prisons Colonel Md Saidul Islam, and Additional IG of Prisons Md Jahangir Kabir were also present, along with other senior officials of both the organisations.
