Shimanto Bank PLC has recently donated a microbus to Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
Shimanto Bank PLC MD and CEO Md Nurul Azim handed over the microbus to SUST Vice-Chancellor (VC) Md Khairul Islam.
Border Guard Bangladesh Sector Commander (Sylhet) Colonel Mohammad Salahuddin along with deans of various faculties, the registrar, transport administrator, provosts, director of accounts, assistant proctors and other university officials, as well as senior officials from the bank, were present at the event, said a press release on Thursday.
SUST VC appreciated the initiative while Shimanto Bank MD expressed his hope to expand the scope of the bank’s social welfare and further enhance the mutual relationship between the bank and the university.
