Aneet Padda is set to return to the screen with Hunkkaar – The Roar, a thriller series she filmed before her breakout role in Saiyaara, states Hindustan Times.
The teaser for the upcoming show was unveiled on Tuesday, with the series scheduled to premiere on JioHotstar on 25 September.
The teaser introduces Aneet as Meenu Rawat, a 17-year-old student who arrives at a police station to report a disturbing incident.
She alleges that she was assaulted by Baapji, setting off an investigation that gradually deepens the mystery surrounding the powerful figure.
Fatima Sana Shaikh plays the police officer assigned to investigate the case.
The series also features Ram Kapoor, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Arjun Mathur and Zoya Hussain in key roles.
Sharing the teaser on social media, Aneet revealed that Hunkkaar had been part of her journey for some time, as the project was completed before Saiyaara changed the course of her career.
“Presenting a little something I shot before Saiyaara. Hunkkaar has been a part of my journey for a while, and I’m glad to finally share it with you all,” she wrote.
The series is produced by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment in association with Purple Pebble Pictures and is a Mangata Films production.
Aneet began her acting career with a small role in Kajol’s Salaam Venky in 2022.
She later appeared in the Prime Video series Big Girls Don’t Cry, which premiered in 2024, and also featured in Yuva Sapno Ka Safar.
Her major breakthrough came with Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara, in which she starred opposite Ahaan Panday.
The film emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025 and brought her widespread recognition for her performance.
Following Hunkkaar, Aneet is also set to appear in Maddock Films’ upcoming horror-comedy Shakti Shalini.
