The Lily-Munier Memorial Trust has invited submissions from cinematographers for the Mishuk Munier Memorial Award 2026. The announcement was made through a press release.
The Mishuk Munier Memorial Award was introduced in 2023 to encourage excellence in broadcast journalism and cinematography in Bangladesh. According to the press release, the trust will honour the best cinematographer for 2024–25 this year.
Cinematographers have been invited to submit their films by 23 August for consideration by an experienced panel of judges. Each applicant may submit only one film.
The press release said the winner will be announced officially on 24 September, the birth anniversary of Mishuk Munier. The recipient will receive a cash award of Tk100,000.
To be eligible, applicants must be Bangladeshi citizens aged 18 or above. The submitted work must be a narrative film produced for either the big or small screen in any format and be accessible to audiences.
Applicants must submit their name, address and contact number with the application. The application should also include a brief biography, a résumé of work as a cinematographer or director of photography (DOP), a synopsis of the film and its logline.
Films may be submitted online by sending a viewing link to [email protected]. Alternatively, applicants may submit a USB drive to House 107, Road 4, Block A, Banani, Dhaka 1213.
