National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Khalilur Rahman will head the Bangladesh delegation at the 7th NSA-level meeting of the Colombo Security Conclave, scheduled for November 19 to 20 in New Delhi.
The government made the decision following an invitation from Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, according to a press release issued by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing on Friday.
The statement noted that the interim government has placed strong emphasis on strengthening regional cooperation and has been actively engaged in various regional platforms.
Earlier in April, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus was elected Chair of BIMSTEC, and he has since taken steps to reactivate SAARC.
Khalilur Rahman previously led the Bangladesh delegation to the China–Indian Ocean Region Forum held in Kunming, China.
His participation in the New Delhi meeting, the release added, is part of the interim government’s continued commitment to advancing constructive and mutually beneficial regional collaboration.
