The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards delivered a record-breaking evening filled with surprises, milestones and history-making wins.
Apple TV+, HBO, and Hulu all saw major victories, but the biggest story belonged to ‘The Studio’, which smashed records by taking home 13 trophies, more than any comedy in Emmy history. The show surpassed last year’s mark of 11 set by ‘The Bear’.
In the drama category, ‘The Pitt’ reigned supreme, earning the top series prize and best actor honors for Noah Wyle, who was recognized for his portrayal of a seasoned ER doctor.
The limited series spotlight belonged to ‘Adolescence’, which claimed six awards, including a breakthrough supporting actor win for 15-year-old Owen Cooper, making him one of the youngest Emmy winners ever.
And though ‘Severance’ went into the night with the most nominations, the Apple TV+ thriller walked away with just two acting victories, Britt Lower and Tramell Tillman, cementing powerful performances from its cast.
