The results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been officially published.
The results were simultaneously announced by the country’s 11 education boards shortly before 10am on Thursday. Students can collect their results from their respective educational institutions, and they are also available on the websites of the education boards.
According to the announced results, the overall pass rate stands at 58.83%. A total of 69,097 students achieved GPA-5.
The pass rates for individual boards are as follows: Dhaka Board – 64.62%, Dinajpur – 57.49%, Cumilla – 48.86%, Chittagong – 52.57%, Barishal – 62.57%, Sylhet – 51.86%, Mymensingh – 51.54%, Rajshahi – 59.40%, and Madrasa Board – 75.61%.
In total, 345 educational institutions achieved a 100% pass rate, while 202 institutions had no successful candidates.
The written exams for the HSC and equivalent qualifications began on 26 June.
This year, the number of HSC candidates across the nine general boards was 1,055,398.
The results for the HSC and equivalent exams conducted under the Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur, Mymensingh, Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, and Bangladesh Technical Education Board will be available on the official websites of the respective education boards, at all exam centers, and through SMS.
A press release, signed by Professor Dr Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir, Chairman of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and President of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed the announcement.
The release stated that institutions can download the results by visiting the ‘Result’ section on the website www.educationboardresults.gov.bd , using the EIIN number of the respective board and institution.
Students can check their results through the integrated website of the education boards, www.educationboardresults.gov.bd, and the individual board’s website. Additionally, results can be received by sending an SMS to the shortcode 16222.
This year’s HSC and equivalent written exams concluded on 19 August, with practical exams held from 21 to 31 August.
