Two leaders of Dhaka Airport Thana unit of Jatiyotabadi Chhatra Dal have been expelled from their organisational positions over allegations of breaching discipline.
They are Md Ripon Hossain, president of the unit, and its general secretary Al‑Amin Hossain Shanto. Both are accused in a gold hijacking case filed with the Airport Thana and are currently in police custody.
The decision was announced Monday in a message issued by Shibly Sadiq Shiblu, office secretary (vice‑president) of Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal, following approval by president Md Salahuddin Ahmed and general secretary Mahfuz‑ur‑Rahman.
Leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal at all levels have been directed to refrain from maintaining any organisational ties with the expelled individuals.
