Hanjala wins Madaripur-1 through postal ballots
Said Uddin Ahmad Hanjala, representing Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis and supported by an 11-party alliance, secured victory in Madaripur-1 (Shibchar) constituency by a narrow margin of 385 votes.
BNP candidate Nadira Akhtar initially led in the majority of the 102 polling centers, receiving 64,291 votes to Hanjala’s 63,511 votes.
The outcome shifted entirely due to postal ballots, where Hanjala, using the rickshaw symbol, received 1,398 votes compared to only 233 votes for Nadira Akhtar.
This brought Hanjala’s total count to 64,909 votes, while Nadira finished with 64,524 votes. Independent candidate Kamal Zaman Molla placed third in the race with 36,564 votes. Other candidates included Akram Hossain from Islami Andolan with 6,205 votes, followed by several others receiving fewer than 3,100 votes each.
After the results were finalized, Hanjala described his win as a victory for truth and pledged to continue fighting for justice. Ten candidates in total contested the seat, including representatives from the BNP, Jatiya Party, and two BNP rebels, with an overall voter turnout of 55 percent.

Election Commission has announced that 59.44 percent of votes were cast in the 13th parliamentary election and referendum.
BNP sweeps Manikganj
Manikganj-1: BNP candidate SA Jinnah Kabir has been elected securing 137,773 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, BNP rebel (Independent) candidate Md Tozammel Haque, who ran with the “Horse” symbol and received 77,818 votes.
Manikganj-2: BNP candidate Moinul Islam Khan won the seat with 175,776 votes. His closest competitor was Md Salahuddin of Khelafat Majlis (nominated by the Jamaat alliance), who ran with the “Wall Clock” symbol and obtained 81,531 votes.
Manikganj-3: BNP’s Afroza Khanam secured victory with 167,345 votes. She defeated Muhammad Saidnur of the Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis (Jamaat alliance), who ran with the “Rickshaw” symbol and received 64,242 votes.
BNP dominates in Dinajpur
Dinajpur-1 (Birganj-Kaharol): BNP’s Monjurul Islam won with 179,314 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Motiur Rahman, who received 117,481 votes.
Dinajpur-2 (Bochaganj-Birol): BNP candidate Sadique Riaz Chowdhury was elected with 139,622 votes. His closest competitor, AKM Afzalul Anam of Jamaat-e-Islami, obtained 104,887 votes.
Dinajpur-3 (Sadar): BNP’s Syed Jahangir Alam emerged victorious with 140,608 votes. He narrowly defeated Jamaat-e-Islami’s Mainul Alam, who secured 136,239 votes.
Dinajpur-4 (Khansama-Chirirbandar): Akhtaruzzaman Mia of BNP won the seat with 166,717 votes. He defeated Jamaat’s Aftab Uddin Molla, who received 129,056 votes.
Dinajpur-5 (Phulbari-Parbatipur): Independent candidate (BNP rebel) AZM Rezwanul Haque won with “Lock” symbol, receiving 114,484 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, Abdul Ahad of NCP (Water Lily Bud), who got 110,195 votes, while the official BNP candidate, Barrister AKM Kamruzzaman, followed with 98,544 votes.
Dinajpur-6 (Birampur-Nawabganj-Ghoraghat-Hakimpur): BNP candidate AZM Zahid Hossain secured victory with 2,05,118 votes. He defeated Jamaat’s Anwarul Islam, who received 190,703 votes.

Cumilla-01 (Daudkandi-Meghna): BNP candidate and Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain emerged victorious.

BNP wins 2 seats, Jamaat takes 3 in Pabna
Pabna-1: Jamaat’s Barrister Najibur Rahman Momen emerged victorious with 129,974 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, BNP’s Shamsur Rahman (Sheaf of Paddy), who received 104,245 votes, by a margin of 25,729 votes.
Pabna-2: BNP candidate AKM Selim Reza Habib won by a significant margin, securing 215,406 votes. His closest competitor, Hesab Uddin of Jamaat-e-Islami, received 77,242 votes, resulting in a victory margin of 138,164 votes for the BNP candidate.
Pabna-3: Muhammed Ali Asghar, representing Jamaat-e-Islami, won with 147,475 votes. He narrowly defeated BNP’s Agriculturist Hasan Jafir Tuhin, who secured 144,206 votes, by a margin of only 3,269 votes.
Pabna-4: Jamaat-e-Islami’s Abu Taleb Mondal won the seat with 137,675 votes. He defeated BNP candidate Habibur Rahman Habib, who obtained 133,992 votes, by a margin of 3,683 votes.
Pabna-5: BNP’s Advocate Shamshur Rahman Shimul Biswas was declared the winner after receiving 181,169 votes. He won against Jamaat-e-Islami’s Principal Iqbal Hossain, who received 163,186 votes, by a margin of 17,983 votes.
BNP wins all three seats in Gopalganj
BNP candidates have emerged victorious in all three parliamentary constituencies of Gopalganj.
In Gopalganj-1, BNP nominee Selimuzzaman Molla secured 68,867 votes. His nearest rival, Md Kabir Mia of Gono Adhikar Parishad, bagged 53,961 votes.
In Gopalganj-2, BNP-nominated KM Babar won with 40,048 votes. He defeated his closest competitor, BNP rebel candidate MH Khan Monju, who received 33,039 votes.
In Gopalganj-3, BNP’s SM Jilani polled 60,166 votes to secure victory. His nearest rival, Gobinda Chandra Pramanik, finished with 33,867 votes.
Jamaat bags three seats, NCP one in Kurigram
Kurigram-1 (Nageshwari-Bhurungamari): Md Anwarul Islam of Jamaat-e-Islami, running with the ‘Scales’ (Dandipalla) symbol, was unofficially elected with 141,090 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, BNP candidate Saifur Rahman Rana, who received 123,025 votes.
Kurigram-2 (Sadar-Rajarhat-Phulbari): In what is considered the district’s most politically significant seat, Atiqur Rahman Mujahid of NCP emerged victorious. Running with the ‘Shapla Koli’ symbol, he polled 180,526 votes, narrowly defeating BNP’s Sohel Hosnain Kaikobad, who secured 171,405 votes.
Kurigram-3 (Ulipur): Jamaat candidate Mahbubul Alam Salehi secured the seat with 107,930 votes. He defeated BNP’s Tasvir Ul Islam, who trailed with 79,352 votes.
Kurigram-4 (Roumari-Rajibpur-Chilmari): This constituency saw a unique battle between two brothers, where the younger brother, Md Mostafizur Rahman of Jamaat, emerged as the winner with 108,210 votes. He defeated his elder brother and BNP candidate, Md. Azizur Rahman, who received 84,423 votes.
Jamaat sweeps all four seats in Satkhira
Satkhira-1 (Tala-Kalaroa): Md Izzat Ullah emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle, securing 193,772 votes. He defeated BNP central leader Habibul Islam Habib, who received 169,995 votes. The voter turnout was recorded at 75.64%, with 228,404 ‘Yes’ votes and 121,256 ‘No’ votes cast in the concurrent referendum.
Satkhira-2 (Sadar-Debhata): Muhaddis Abdul Khalek won by a massive margin, polling 266,959 votes against BNP candidate Md. Abdur Rauf’s 150,283 votes. The referendum in this seat saw a 73.79% turnout, with 292,828 ‘Yes’ and 86,619 ‘No’ votes.
Satkhira-3 (Ashasuni-Kaliganj): Muhaddis Rabiul Bashar claimed the seat with 184,233 votes. While independent candidate Shahidul Alam (Football symbol) emerged as the main challenger with 105,389 votes, BNP’s Kazi Alauddin trailed behind with 56,819 votes. This constituency saw a 70.99% turnout.
Satkhira-4 (Shyamnagar): Gazi Nazrul Islam was re-elected, receiving 106,913 votes. He defeated his nearest rival, BNP’s Md Moniruzzaman, by a margin of 21,447 votes. The voter turnout stood at 67.76%.

Modi congratulates Tarique
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on the party’s landslide victory in the 13th Parliamentary Election.
Modi conveyed his congratulations in a message posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.
In his post, Modi said the victory reflects the trust and democratic aspirations of the people of Bangladesh. He also expressed hope that India will always stand by Bangladesh in building a democratic, progressive, and inclusive nation.

According to unofficial results from 11 constituencies in Mymensingh, BNP candidates have won in eight, a BNP rebel independent candidate has won in one, Khilafat Majlis has won in one, and a Jamaat-e-Islami candidate has won in one.

In Lalmonirhat-2 (Aditmari-Kaliganj), BNP candidate Rokon Uddin Babu has unofficially won receiving 1,23,946 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat’s Advocate Firoz Haider Lovlu, received 1,17,252 votes.
In Lalmonirhat-3 (Sadar), BNP candidate Asadul Habib Dulu has been unofficially elected receiving 1,39,651 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat’s Abu Taher, received 56,244 votes.
Three hill districts captured by BNP
BNP candidates have won in the constituencies of the three hill districts: Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban. Among them, Dipen Dewan received the highest number of votes in the Rangamati constituency. He won with 1,99,840 votes.
Additionally, BNP’s Wadud Bhuiya won in Khagrachhari with 1,48,212 votes, and Sachhing Pru won in Bandarban with 80,696 votes.
BNP, alliance candidates victorious in all Bhola constituencies
In the Bhola-1 (Sadar) constituency, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) candidate Andaleeve Rahman Partho, has won with 1,04,462 votes.
In Bhola-2 (Daulatkhan and Borhanuddin), BNP’s Md Hafiz Ibrahim has been unofficially elected receiving 1,21,005 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Maulana Fazlul Karim, received 93,498 votes.
In the Bhola-3 (Lalmohan and Tazumuddin) constituency, BNP Standing Committee member Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Bir Bikram) has unofficially won contesting under the Sheaf of Paddy symbol. He received 1,51,774 votes.
In Bhola-4 (Charfashion and Monpura), BNP candidate Nurul Islam Nayan has been unofficially elected receiving 1,90,005 votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Mustafa Kamal, received 1,08,007 votes.
NCP’s Hasnat Abdullah victorious in Cumilla-4
NCP candidate for Cumilla-4, Hasnat Abdullah, has secured a major victory in the Cumilla-4 (Debidwar) constituency.
According to information received from the Upazila Returning Officer’s office, Hasnat Abdullah has received more votes in all centres following the vote count at all 116 polling stations in this parliamentary constituency.
BNP-supported candidate of Gono Odhikar Parishad, Md A Jasim Uddin, contested under the Truck symbol, and could not gain ground against Hasnat Abdullah’s dominance in the electoral arena.
It is noteworthy that the Cumilla-4 constituency became one of the most talked-about seats in the entire country in this election due to the cancellation of the candidacy of a heavyweight BNP candidate.
BNP's Khandaker Abu Ashfaq wins in Dhaka-1
BNP candidate Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, contesting under the Sheaf of Paddy symbol, has been unofficially elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Dhaka-1 constituency.
It was reported that Abu Ashfaq received 1,72,402 votes.
Among the other candidates, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Md Nazrul Islam received 1,08,910 votes, Jatiya Party’s Md Nasir Uddin Molla received 1,345 votes, Bangladesh Labour Party’s Sheikh Mohammad Ali received 272 votes, Islami Andolan candidate Nurul Islam received 6,538 votes, and independent candidate Antara Selim Huda received 4,824 votes.
Jamaat wins all four seats in Nilphamari
Candidates from Jamaat have secured victory in all four constituencies of the Nilphamari district.
In Nilphamari-1, Abdus Sattar, contesting with the “Scales” (Daripalla) symbol, was declared the winner after polling 1,49,214 votes. His nearest rival, Manjurul Islam Afendi, who ran with the ‘Date Tree’ symbol, received 1,18,160 votes.
Al Faruq Abdul Latif won the Nilphamari-2 seat with the “Scales” symbol, bagging 1,45,202 votes. He defeated Shaharin Islam Tuhin, who contested with the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol and secured 1,34,579 votes.
In Nilphamari-3, the victory went to Obaidullah Salafi (Scales), who polled 1,08,560 votes. The runner-up was Syed Ali (Sheaf of Paddy), who obtained 89,102 votes.
Finally, in Nilphamari-4, Hafez Abdul Muttakim secured the seat with the “Scales” symbol, receiving 1,24,865 votes. His nearest competitor, Abdul Gafur Sarkar, running with the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol, garnered 81,526 votes.

In Kushtia-4 (Kumarkhali-Khoksa) constituency, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Md Afzal Hossain has been unofficially elected as MP, receiving 7,630 votes more than his rival candidate.
According to results from all 152 centers in these two upazilas, he received 1,46,204 votes. His nearest rival, BNP’s Syed Mehdi Ahmed Rumi, received 1,38,574 votes.

The victorious Jamaat candidate received 2,60,423 votes while Abdur Rauf received 1,14,322 votes.

Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Bir Bikram), a member of the BNP Standing Committee, has won the Bhola-3 (Lalmohan-Tazumuddin) constituency. He received 1,51,774 votes.
On the other hand, his nearest rival, the Jamaat-supported candidate from the 11-party alliance, Muhammad Nizamul Haque Naim, contesting under the Cauliflower symbol, received 55,660 votes.

BNP leading in all four Cox's Bazar constituencies
Among the four parliamentary constituencies in Cox’s Bazar, BNP heavyweight candidate and party National Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed is clearly leading in the Cox’s Bazar-01 (Chakaria-Pekua) constituency. BNP-nominated candidates are also leading in the other three constituencies.

Jamaat ameer defeated at own polling centre
Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman has been defeated at his own polling centre, after casting his vote at the Monipur School and College (Boys’ Branch) polling centre in Mirpur.
Shafiqur secured 560 votes under the “Scales” symbol. Meanwhile, BNP-nominated candidate Shafiqul Islam Khan received 565 votes.
A total of 1,174 votes were cast at the centre, with 27 votes being cancelled.
Jamaat leads in 16 Rangpur seats; turnout over 60%
Jamaat-e-Islami candidates were leading in 16 out of 33 constituencies in Rangpur Division as of 7:30pm on Thursday, officials said, as voter turnout exceeded 60 percent across the division.
Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Shahidul Islam said voting took place peacefully in a festive atmosphere, with women voters outnumbering men. He reported that turnout reached 70 percent in Panchagarh and that the overall turnout in the division surpassed 60 percent.
The election was held across 33 seats in eight districts, with voting conducted at 4,546 polling centres. A total of 80,121 security personnel from the police, army, RAB, BGB and Ansar were deployed to maintain law and order.
A total of 235 candidates are contesting the seats, including 33 independents and 202 candidates from 29 political parties. Among them, eight are women. The BNP withdrew from one seat, allowing Jamaat to contest, while Jamaat has shared three seats with the NCP. In five seats, BNP rebel candidates are participating.
The division has 1,47, 54,995 registered voters, including 73, 41,298 men and 78, 10,199 women.

BNP maintains slim lead in Dhaka-19
In a neck-and-neck battle for the Dhaka-19 constituency, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is currently leading following the announcement of results from 28 polling centres.
Out of a total of 275 centres in the constituency, the initial figures indicate a highly competitive race, with only a marginal difference separating the top two candidates.
According to the declared results, the BNP has so far secured 14,588 votes. Its nearest rival, the NCP, is trailing closely with 13,283 votes. As results from the remaining 247 centres are yet to be finalised, the outcome of the election in this seat remains finely balanced.
BNP takes lead in Bandarban as early results come in
BNP has taken a significant lead in the Bandarban constituency as the initial results from polling centres begin to emerge.
Early count shows BNP ahead Out of a total of 186 polling centres in the constituency, results from 39 centres have been officially announced. According to these figures, the BNP has secured 30,009 votes, establishing a commanding position in the early stages of the count.
NCP is currently the nearest rival in the race. Data from the 39 centres processed so far shows that NCP has received 6,424 votes. The counting process for the remaining polling centres in the seat is ongoing.
Jamaat leads Joypurhat-1 election results
Jamaat-e-Islami is currently leading in the Joypurhat-1 constituency based on the preliminary results from the first few polling centres.
Out of a total of 151 polling centres located within the Joypurhat-1 seat, results from three centres have been accounted for thus far. In these specific centres, Jamaat-e-Islami has garnered a total of 3,803 votes.
The nearest contender, the BNP, has secured 2,963 votes in the same three centres. The independent candidate running under the “Horse” symbol has polled 276 votes.
Dhaka election results for five seats expected shortly
The results for five constituencies in Dhaka in the 13th parliamentary elections are expected to be announced shortly, according to Dhaka District Magistrate and Returning Officer Rezaul Karim.
Speaking on Thursday evening, the Returning Officer confirmed that the administration is fully prepared to declare the outcomes as soon as they are received from the respective polling centres.
While the data had not yet begun to arrive at the time of his statement, he anticipated that the first results would start reaching the central collection point within half an hour.
According to sources from the Dhaka Returning Officer’s office, a total of 32 candidates contested across these five seats. Although several nominations were initially validated, four candidates from three constituencies ultimately withdrew their candidacies.
These included Farhad Hossain of Khelafat Majlis in Dhaka-1, Md Afzal Hossain of Jamaat-e-Islami and AKM Enamul Haque of Khelafat Majlis in Dhaka-19, and Md Abdur Rauf of Jamaat-e-Islami in Dhaka-20.
In the Dhaka-1 constituency, six candidates remained in the fray, including Khandaker Abu Ashfaq (BNP), Md Nazrul Islam (Jamaat-e-Islami), Md Nasir Uddin Molla (Jatiya Party), Sheikh Mohammad Ali (Bangladesh Labour Party), Nurul Islam (Islami Andolan), and independent candidate Antara Selim Huda.
The Dhaka-2 seat saw a three-way contest between Amanullah Aman (BNP), Zahirul Islam (Islami Andolan), and Abdul Haq (Jamaat-e-Islami).
Meanwhile, Dhaka-3 featured the highest number of contenders with nine candidates.
The lineup included Gayeshwar Chandra Roy (BNP), Md Shahinur Islam (Jamaat-e-Islami), Md. Sajjad (Gono Odhikar Parishad), Mohammad Jafar (Bangladesh Congress), Md Bachchu Bhuiyan (Ganosamhati Andolan), Md Sultan Ahmad Khan (Islami Andolan), Mujibur Howlader (Socialist Party of Bangladesh), Muhammad Rawshan Yazdani (Gono Forum), and Md Faruk (Jatiya Party).
Eight candidates competed for the Dhaka-19 seat.
The participants were Dewan Mohammad Salahuddin (BNP), Md Bahadur Islam (Jatiya Party), Dilshana Parul (NCP), Sheikh Shawkat Hossain (Gono Odhikar Parishad), Israfil Islam Savari (National People’s Party), Md Faruk Khan (Islami Andolan), Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardy (NDP), and Md Kamrul (Bangladesh Muslim League).
Finally, in Dhaka-20, six candidates stood for election. The contenders were Md Tamiz Uddin (BNP), Ahsan Khan (Jatiya Party), Nabila Tasnim (NCP), Ashraf Ali (Khelafat Majlis), Md. Arzu Mia (Bangladesh Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal), and Helal Uddin Ahammed (AB Party).
Islami Andolan leads in Kurigram-3
In Kurigram-3 constituency, Islami Andolan is leading based on results from three out of 140 polling centers.
The party has secured 1,040 votes, while its nearest rival, the “Scales”, has received 886 votes. Additionally, BNP has obtained 672 votes in these initial counts.
BNP leads in Dhaka-6 Constituency
BNP is currently leading in Dhaka-6 constituency. According to results from one out of 100 polling centers, the Sheaf of Paddy has received 832 votes.
Jamaat-e-Islami has secured 614 votes, and Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan has obtained 30 votes.
BNP leads in Moulvibazar-6
In Moulvibazar-6 constituency, BNP is currently leading based on results from six out of 163 polling centers.
The “Sheaf of Paddy” has secured 5,799 votes, while its nearest rival, the “Scale” (Daripalla), has received 2,051 votes.
Additionally, an independent candidate with the Football symbol has obtained 329 votes.
