Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will conduct the next phase of discussions with political parties on Monday afternoon, officials confirmed to UNB on Sunday. The dialogue session is scheduled for 4:30pm at the Foreign Service Academy, Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder announced during a media briefing.

Majumder stated that all political parties currently involved in the reform dialogue process have received invitations to participate. “The chief adviser will inaugurate Monday’s talks, after which substantive discussions will commence,” Majumder said, adding that further rounds of talks are expected both before and after the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

The announcement comes as Professor Yunus returned home Sunday concluding his official visit to Japan, while the National Consensus Commission has simultaneously begun its second phase of political consultations.

Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Ahmmad Foyez were also present at Sunday’s media briefing.
