The Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser Shafiqul Alam has stated that Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and Tarique Rahman will determine the agenda for their upcoming meeting in London this Friday themselves.
During a press briefing at the Bangladesh High Commission in London on Tuesday, Alam said, “There is no fixed format for the meeting. They will discuss matters as they see fit. Topics may include the current political situation, scheduled election timeline, Charter of July, reforms, and other important issues.”
He added, “What will be discussed in the meeting will be decided solely by Tarique Rahman and Dr Yunus.”
Meanwhile, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus arrived in London at 7:05am on Monday via an Emirates Airlines flight. At the start of his visit, he met with several British MPs from the All-Party Parliamentary Group. He also held discussions with Airbus Executive Vice President Wouter van Wersch.
Accompanying the chief adviser on this four-day official visit are Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Ahsan H Mansur and Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Dr Abdul Momen.
During the visit, Yunus will receive the King Charles Harmony Award from King Charles III.
