Yunus meets King Charles III at Buckingham Palace

Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus held a private audience with Britain’s King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on Thursday. The meeting was confirmed by the Chief Adviser’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumder.

According to Majumder, following the private audience (scheduled from 11:20am to 11:50am London time), attended the “King Charles III Awards Ceremony” from 1:30pm to 3pm.

During the ceremony, King Charles formally presented Professor Yunus with the prestigious “Harmony Award 2025” in recognition of his lifelong efforts to promote peace, sustainability, and harmony between people and the environment.

King Charles established this new award in June 2024 to celebrate living in harmony with nature. The inaugural recipient of the King Charles III Harmony Award was former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
