Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus visited the under-construction ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’ in Ganabhaban on Tuesday to inspect its progress, marking the observance of July Uprising Day.
The museum, being built in commemoration of the historic July Uprising 2024, aims to document the movement’s background, struggles, sacrifices of martyrs, and eventual victory. The facility is expected to serve as a permanent archive of that crucial moment in Bangladesh’s political history.

During the visit, Professor Yunus met with engineers, architects, and workers on-site and instructed them to expedite construction while maintaining high quality. He emphasised the museum’s importance in preserving the legacy of the mass movement and ensuring that future generations understand its significance.

Among others accompanying the chief advisor were Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam, Secretary of Public Works Adilur Rahman Khan, Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, members of the museum implementation committee.
