With the Women’s Football League 2025–26 already underway, the Bangladesh Football Federation has confirmed a revised fixture list following the death of former prime minister Khaleda Zia and the subsequent period of national mourning.
The league had begun on 29 December at Bir Sreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalpur, Dhaka, but fixtures were rescheduled as sporting activities were paused in response to the death. The federation later issued an updated calendar on 30 December, outlining revised dates for all remaining matches of the competition.
Under the rescheduled plan, the league will continue through January and conclude in early February. The revised fixture list covers all 11 rounds and 55 matches, ensuring the full competition can be completed despite the interruption. Each round will feature five matches, with one team sitting out per round as part of the league structure.
The updated schedule retains the single-venue format, with all matches set to be played at the Kamalpur stadium. Kick-off times remain spread across morning, afternoon and evening slots to manage match load and recovery for the teams.
The opening rounds have already seen adjustments to dates and sequencing, while the later stages of the league have been shifted slightly to accommodate the pause. The final round is now scheduled for 3 February, featuring key fixtures involving Dhaka Rangers Football Club, Bangladesh Army Sports Club Ltd., Bangladesh Police Football Club and Rajshahi Stars Football Club.
The Bangladesh Football Federation has described the revised fixture list as final and has asked all clubs to align their preparations accordingly as the Women’s Football League resumes after the brief suspension.
