The body of an unidentified woman, approximately 45 years old, was recovered from the footpath in front of the Nursing College at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 10:30 am. According to hospital authorities, the woman was found unconscious and later taken to the emergency department of DMCH, where doctors pronounced her dead at around 11am.
Md Zillur Rahman, ward master of DMCH’s outpatient department, said, “We saw the woman lying unconscious on the footpath in front of the nursing college. We immediately informed the police camp at Dhaka Medical. With their assistance, she was taken to the emergency unit, where doctors declared her dead.”
Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police camp, confirmed the death and said the body has been kept in the hospital morgue. The concerned police station has been informed.He also mentioned that the identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed.
