Warwick Davis returns as Professor Flitwick in Harry Potter series

HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series is adding more Hogwarts staff and students. Warwick Davis, who played Charms Professor Filius Flitwick in all eight original films, returns in the role; Griphook will now be portrayed by Leigh Gill. 

Joining the staff are Sirine Saba as Herbology Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden as Professor Cuthbert Binns and Bríd Brennan as Madam Pomfrey.

On the student side, Elijah Oshin will play Dean Thomas, with Finn Stephens and William Nash cast as Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, respectively. Recent additions include Ron Weasley’s siblings: Tristan and Gabriel Harland as Fred and George, Ruari Spooner as Percy and Gracie Cochrane as Ginny.

The main cast features Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Nick Frost as Hagrid and Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, among others. 

Production is underway at Warner Bros.’ Leavesden Studios in the UK, with the series set to premiere in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
