Walton Hi-Tech Industries has further solidified its global expansion strategy by appointing a distributor in Barbados. This move is part of the company’s continued efforts to enhance its international presence.
The company signed a six-year Global Distributorship Agreement with Bargain Warehouse Inc., a private company incorporated under Barbados law.
According to a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the agreement officially designates Bargain Warehouse Inc. as the authorized distributor for Walton products in select territories within Barbados.
This latest development follows Walton’s successful market expansions in Sri Lanka and Singapore and is aimed at tapping into the growing Barbadian market while reinforcing its position in the global electronics sector.
With this move, Walton continues to broaden its reach beyond South Asia and Southeast Asia, seeking to make its products available to an even wider global audience. Over the past decade, Walton has been exporting products both under its own brand and through contract manufacturing for international brands. Recently, the company has focused on opening exclusive Walton outlets in various markets to strengthen its retail presence.
In line with the new agreement with Bargain Warehouse, the first shipment of Walton-branded split and commercial air conditioners has already been sent, according to Abdur Rouf, Walton’s Vice President for Global Business.
“Walton products stand out in the global market due to cutting-edge technology, innovative designs, international standards, and competitive pricing,” said Abdur Rouf. “Our efforts to expand the Walton brand into new countries worldwide are exemplified by our move into the Caribbean region.”
Following the announcement, Walton’s share price saw a 2.74% rise, closing at Tk 468.1 per share on the DSE on Tuesday.
