Uttara plane crash: Govt issues emergency contact numbers for missing students

The government has provided a set of emergency contact numbers to help locate missing students following the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) training aircraft crash at Milestone College in Uttara on Monday.

According to a statement from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the following numbers have been activated for families and guardians: Military Rescue Brigade, 01769024202; CMH Burn Unit, 01769016019; CMH Emergency, 01769013311, Milestone School Admin Officer, 01814774132; and Milestone School Vice Principal, 01771111766.

In addition, the National Emergency Number 999 will connect callers directly to the burn units through the emergency national helpline (999).

The crash, which occurred at around 1:18pm on the Milestone College campus, has left at least 19 people dead so far and more than a hundred injured.

Rescue and treatment operations are currently ongoing across multiple hospitals in Dhaka.

Authorities urge anyone seeking information on missing students to use the provided contacts.
