The political affairs delegation of the US Embassy in Dhaka held a meeting with senior leaders of Islami Andolan Bangladesh at its central office in Paltan on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they discussed the different issues such as politics, elections, reforms, civil rights, and development of trade and relations with the US.
The US Embassy delegation includes political officer James Stewart, political specialist Firoz Ahmed and political assistant Iqbal Mahmud.
Islami Andolan Secretary General Principal Hafiz Maulana Yunus Ahmad, Presidium Member Professor Ashraf Ali Akon, Joint Secretary General Maulana Gazi Ataur Rahman, Engineer Ashraful Alam, International Affairs Secretary Dr Belal Nur Azizi, and Office Secretary Maulana Lokman Hossain Jafri were present at the meeting.
Islami Andolan has welcomed the reconsideration and adjustment of US trade tariffs.
