UCSI University Bangladesh awards six students

UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus has honoured six outstanding students with the prestigious Brand Ambassador Award for achieving the highest GPA across various faculties in the January 2025 semester. The awards were formally presented on the afternoon of June 26th in a vibrant ceremony held at the university’s hall Room.

The event was graced by His Excellency Mohd Shuhada Othman, the esteemed High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh, who handed over the crests and certificates to the Brand Ambassadors as the chief guest. His Excellency also handed over crests to the University’s ten Student Club Presidents.

The six Brand Ambassadors are Warisha Khan Shaina from the Faculty of Business and Management, Chowdhury Umme Honny from the Faculty of Computer Science and Digital Innovation, Tahsin Nawar from the Faculty of Social Sciences & Liberal Arts, MD Ibrahim Ifty from the Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism Management, Ayishwarja Paul Arpan from the Faculty of Creative Arts and Design, and Abu Zahid Mojidul Islam from the School of Graduate Studies.

The ceremony began with a welcome address by Ms. Aniza Parveen, Vice President and Member, Board of Directors at UCSI University. Other distinguished speakers included Professor A K Enamul Haque, Chief Academic Advisor, and Provost Chan Joe Jim.

In his congratulatory remarks, High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman praised the awardees, saying, “This recognition is a testament to your hard work and dedication. As Brand Ambassadors, you are now not only representatives of UCSI University but also role models for future leaders.”

Ms. Aniza Parveen, Vice President and Member, Board of Directors at UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus, expressed her pride in presenting the Brand Ambassador Awards for the first time. She stated, “We are thrilled and proud to present the Brand Ambassador Awards. This initiative will pave the way for future leaders, enrich university life, and help fulfill the dreams of our students.” She further emphasized, “The Brand Ambassador Award is not just a prize; it is a responsibility and a role model position for those who will represent UCSI University.”

Professor A K Enamul Haque, Chief Academic Advisor, highlighted the importance of academic excellence and leadership, while Provost Chan Joe Jim spoke about the university’s commitment to nurturing future leaders.

On behalf of the Brand Ambassadors, Warisha Khan Shaina delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude for the honor and the responsibility it entails. Imbesat Mawhub Hamza , President of the Volunteer Club, also spoke on behalf of the Club Presidents, emphasizing how this recognition has heightened their awareness of future leadership roles.
