Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested two people from Narsingdi and Bagerhat in connection with the killing of a woman in Gazipur.
The detainees are Ainul Islam, also known as Bullet, from Ulipur upazila in Kurigram, and Razib from Kachua upazila in Bagerhat.
Acting on information, teams from Rab-1, RAB-6 and Rab-11 conducted a raid in Madhabdi upazila of Narsingdi and arrested Bullet, said Md Nafiz bin Jamal, company commander of Gazipur-1.
Later that night, the force carried out another operation in Kachua and arrested Razib.
Both suspects have been handed over to the Gazipur Metropolitan Police.
Earlier on Saturday, Rahima Khatun, a 35-year-old garment worker, was found dead with her throat slit, while her husband Emran Hossain was found injured at their home in the Konabari area of Gazipur.
The injured husband was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital.
A case has been filed with Konabari Police Station.
