In Gujrat, Pakistan, two brothers have been shot dead and their uncle critically injured following a dispute over not giving an over during a local cricket match. The incident took place last week in the Mahsam area and has sent shockwaves through the community.

According to local authorities and reports by Geo News Urdu, the altercation began during the match when a disagreement over giving an over escalated. One player from the opposing team opened fire, killing the team captain instantly. His brother and uncle were injured and rushed to hospital.

After a week of treatment, the captain’s brother succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, while the uncle remains in critical condition.

The suspected shooter, identified as Ghulam Ghous, has been arrested by police. Authorities have confirmed that a case has been registered against him. The incident has raised concerns over gun violence in the area, highlighting ongoing challenges in controlling armed confrontations.
