Tomorrowland, the iconic electronic dance music festival that has captivated millions in Belgium for 20 years, is finally coming to Asia. Organizers announced a two-phase arrival, starting with a preview event in China followed by a full-scale festival in Thailand.

The Asian journey begins on November 22, with The Magic of Tomorrowland — a one-night immersive showcase at Shanghai’s Hero Dome on the Bund. Promising “music, light, and imagination beneath one roof,” the indoor event will feature world-class DJs and stage designs. Tickets go on sale September 2025.

The flagship Asian edition arrives in December 2026 in Chonburi, Thailand. Nestled near Bangkok along the Gulf of Thailand, Chonburi offers beaches, cultural charm, and easy airport access. The festival will replicate Tomorrowland Belgium’s multi-stage spectacle with themed villages and global artists, while weaving in Thai music and cultural elements.

The event involves a minimum five-year commitment and an estimated annual investment of $10 million, potentially generating billions of baht in economic impact.

The move signals a shift toward experiential tourism, with travelers increasingly seeking destination events. Tomorrowland’s expansion into Southeast Asia positions Thailand — already a top travel hub — at the forefront of festival tourism.

Since its 2005 debut in Boom, Belgium, Tomorrowland has become a global phenomenon, selling out within minutes. Its arrival in Chonburi marks a new era, bringing its signature ‘musical trance’ to Asian shores for the first time.
