Trinbago Knight Riders booked their place in the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League final. They beat defending champions St Lucia Kings by 56 runs in qualifier two at Providence Stadium, Guyana, on September 19.

TKR batted first and posted 194 for 4. Their top order set the tone with aggressive hitting. Nicholas Pooran scored 50 from 32 balls. Alex Hales anchored the innings with 58 not out. Kieron Pollard added 35, while Andre Russell chipped in at the end.

The Kings used several bowlers but could not stop the flow of runs. Roston Chase, Khary Pierre and Alzarri Joseph took one wicket each.

Chasing 195, St Lucia needed a strong start. Tim Seifert tried with 57 from 41 balls. But the rest of the lineup fell apart. Johnson Charles managed only 17, while Tim David hit a quick 20 before falling to Sunil Narine.

TKR’s spinners controlled the game. Usman Tariq took 4 for 35. Narine backed him with 3 for 18. Akeal Hosein was also tight with the ball. The Kings finished on 138 for 8 from their 20 overs.

TKR will now face Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL 2025 final. The match takes place at Providence Stadium on September 21.
