Three construction workers died after falling from the ninth floor of an under-construction building in the Court Building area of Chattogram city on Friday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Md Hasan, Fakhrul Islam and Mohammad Hasan.
Abdul Karim, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said the workers were on a bamboo scaffolding platform that suddenly collapsed.
They were injured seriously. They were rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared two of them dead.
Another worker succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Meanwhile, representatives of the building’s owner held a meeting with the police, says a caretaker for the building.
