Police have arrested three suspects for assaulting and robbing a man near Mohammadpur Police Station; stolen phone recovered.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the assault and mugging a pedestrian near Mohammadpur Police Station.

The suspects — Yusuf, 26, Siam, 23, and Zahurul, 22 — were arrested on Friday, and a mobile phone, which was mugged from the victim, was recovered during the operation.

According to Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ali Iftekhar Hasan, the trio allegedly attacked Ahmad Wadud with a machete before snatching his mobile phone and wallet.
The incident occurred near the police station, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

OC Iftekhar Hasan said the suspects were taken into custody based on initial evidence and suspicion. Further action will be taken following verification, he stated.
