Taylor Swift leads the 2026 American Music Awards (AMA) nominations with eight nods, extending her record as the most-awarded artist in AMA history.
Swift, who has already won 40 AMAs, is followed closely by Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, Sabrina Carpenter and sombr, each securing seven nominations. Alex Warren and Lady Gaga received six nods apiece.
Swift is in position to further extend her record haul, while Justin Bieber, with four nominations, could climb the all-time AMA winners’ list if he secures additional wins this year.
Olivia Dean and sombr are also strong contenders in the new artist, song of the year and breakthrough album categories. Other first-time nominees include KATSEYE, PinkPantheress, RAYE, Tate McRae and Leon Thomas.
The 52nd American Music Awards will take place on May 25 in Las Vegas, US, hosted by Queen Latifah. The show will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
Nominees are determined by fan engagement data, including streaming, sales, radio airplay and touring performance, tracked by Billboard and Luminate over the eligibility period from March 2025 to March 2026.
