Two more persons, who sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion at their Sutrapur residence in the capital last week, died on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Rokan, 14, and Tamim Peda, 16.
Dr Shaon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said Rokon, who suffered 60% burn injuries, died at around 2:45am, while Tamim, who had 42% burn injuries, died at around 8:15am.
Earlier, one-year-old Ayesha succumbed to her injuries at the hospital on July 14.
Five members of a family, including Rokan, Tamim and Ayesha, suffered burn injuries in a gas explosion occurred at the ground floor of a five-storey building Kagjitola, Sutrapur at around 1am at Sutrapur on July 11.
The two remaining victims – Ripon Peda, 35, with 60% and his wife Chandni, 28, with 45% burn injuries – are undergoing treatment at the burn institute.
