Dhaka college students have brought two bulldozers to Dhanmondi 32 with the intention of turning Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s already demolished residence into a playground.

They transported the bulldozers by truck from in front of Dhaka College. Meanwhile, police have taken position at the entrance to Mujib’s house at Dhanmondi 32.

Chanting slogans such as “Destroy the den of fascism, raze it to the ground” and “Awami League will have no address in Bangladesh,” they have gathered at the entrance of Road 32.

The protesters are demanding the execution of Sheikh Hasina.
One protestor said, “Even after killing so many people, the Awami League has shown no remorse since July. Executing Sheikh Hasina once will not absolve her sins. Dhanmondi 32 is the source of Awami League’s power. We will only leave after demolishing this.”

Protesters remained outside the barricades at the entry point of the road.
On-site police officers stated that, under the country’s existing laws, such actions are not permitted. Security forces continue to monitor the area to ensure the demonstration does not escalate.
