The inaugural committee of the Stamford Law Alumni Association has been established, comprising former students of the Law Department of Stamford University Bangladesh. Concurrently, an 81-member executive committee has been announced for the 2026-2027 term of the Alumni Association.
In the newly formed committee, Advocate Mashiur Rahman Riyad has been appointed as President, while Adv Md Mehedi Hasan Jewel has taken charge as the General Secretary.
Approved with the consent of the faculty members of the Law Department, the committee was signed by the Faculty of Law Acting Dean Professor Mohammad Ziaul Hasan and the Law Department Acting Chairman Assistant Professor Ishrat Jahan Eni.
In a press release signed by Assistant Publicity Secretary Adv Md Asaduzzaman, the newly formed executive committee, it was stated that the organisation has been established to strengthen mutual communication, camaraderie, and professional co-operation among the department’s alumni, while also playing a role in the education and career development of current students.
Adv Mohsin Kabir Rocky has been named the Senior Vice-President of the committee. The Vice-Presidents are Adv Sharmin Jahan Shimu, Adv A H M Masum, Adv Nazmul Sakib, Adv Omar Jakir Babul, Adv Manobendra Roy Madol, Adv Md Lutfur Rahman (Konok), Adv Karar Mahmud, Adv Rony Chandra Ghosh, Adv Kamrul Islam, Adv Mahfuzur Rahman Khan, Adv Tamanna Khanam Irene, and Adv Nazrul Islam Choton.
Adv Md Sohag Hasan Rony has been appointed as the Senior Joint General Secretary. The Joint General Secretaries of the committee are Adv Sheikh Anjum Ahmed Rifat (Narayanganj), Fuad Hossain Ananda, Adv Tareq Al Imran (Barishal), Adv Ashraf Hossain Khan (Mymensingh), Adv Arifur Rahman Khan Mishel, Md Shahed Kamal Nitu, Afroza Khatun, Adv Md Zilkur Rahman, Adv Shahnewaz Ahmed Shubh (Chattogram), Adv S M Imon Mahmud (Madaripur), Ziaur Rashid Tipu, Adv Rezaur Rahman Raju (Jessore), Sabiha Suraiya Binte Ali, Md Manik Fakir, Rezaul Karim Badhon, Asad Uddin Mohammad Asif, and Adv Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal.
The Assistant General Secretaries are Adv Md Abdul Based Rakhi, Adv Jahinul Islam (Rangpur), Adv Mahbubur Rahman Dulal, Adv Md Azadul Islam, Adv Abdur Razzaq Uzzal, Adv Mahabin Hasan Titas, Adv Md Ibrahim Khalil, Adv Mahfuzar Rahman Iliash, and Mir Solaiman. Adv Faisal Kabir Sourav has been appointed as the Organising Secretary, and Adv Rakibul Hasan Bhuiyan will serve as the Assistant Organising Secretary.

The committee’s Executive Members are Mia Mamun, Ehsan Kabir, Asad Zaman Shubh, Adv Abul Kalam, Adv Faisal Ahmed, Adv Ahsan Habib (Abir), Adv Rakibul Hasan Tamim (Lakshmipur), Adv Faisal Hossain, Kazi Mojahidul Islam Noman, Adv Biplob Hossain, Adv Iftekhar Nabi Chowdhury Sangram, Adv Tarif Ahmed, SM Labib Ahanab, and Md Rayhan Khan Akash.
In addition to these office-bearers, who represent the 24th to 26th batches of the Law Department, former students and the presidents and general secretaries of the Dhaka Bar and Supreme Court Bar units of the Stamford University Bangladesh Lawyers Association (SUBLA) will serve as advisors to the committee ex-officio.
