SSC, equivalent exam results: 68.45% students pass

The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have been published, with a nationwide pass rate of 68.45 percent.

This figure marks a 14.59 percentage point drop from last year’s pass rate.

Professor Dr Khondoker Ehsanul Kabir, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Coordination Committee, revealed the statistics at a press conference held on Thursday (10 July) at the Dhaka Education Board office.

According to the official data, a total of 1,303,426 students have passed the exams this year. Among them, 139,032 students achieved the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5).

Citing education ministry sources, it has been confirmed that a total of 1,928,970 students appeared in the 2025 SSC and equivalent exams under nine general education boards, the madrasa board, and the technical education board. Of them, 961,231 were male and 967,739 were female candidates.

The examinations were held across 3,715 centres in the country, starting from 10 April and concluding on 13 May. The results have been published within just two months.

The Ministry of Education stated that the results were prepared in accordance with the current standards of competency-based evaluation policy.

How to get your results

The examinees now can check their results through the respective education board websites or via SMS.

To check online, students must enter their exam name, year, board, roll number, and registration number, and click the ‘submit’ button.

To receive results via SMS, go to the message option of your phone and type:
SSC [first three letters of board name] [roll number] [year] and send it to 16222.
For example: SSC Dha 654321 2025 → send to 16222.

For Dakhil exam results, type:
Dakhil Mad [roll number] 2025 → send to 16222.

For Technical Board, type:
SSC Tec [roll number] 2025 → send to 16222.

You will receive the result in a return SMS.
