Southeast Bank PLC, in collaboration with Bangladesh Bank, has launched a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Program for SME entrepreneurs under the Skills for Industry
Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), a project of the Ministry of Finance, Government of Bangladesh, according to a press release.
The inaugural ceremony of the training program took place on 24 August 2025 at the Bank’s Training Institute, with Southeast Bank PLC Managing Director (Current Charge) Abidur Rahman Chowdhury presiding over the event. The Chief Guest at the ceremony was Bangladesh Bank Program Director & Additional Director, SME and Special Programs Department Md Nazrul Islam, while Bangladesh Bank Deputy Program Director & Joint Director, SME and Special Programs Department Mohammad Wasim attended as the Special Guest. Other senior officials from Southeast Bank were also present.
The first batch of 25 SME entrepreneurs will receive hands-on training on a variety of subjects, including business management, financial planning, digital marketing, and loan proposal preparation, at Southeast Bank’s Training Institute in Motijheel, Dhaka.
The program will be supported by executives from renowned business organizations and experienced trainers, ensuring that participants gain valuable insights to enhance their entrepreneurial skills during the month-long training period.
