Southeast Bank, NSU launch VISA co-branded cards

Southeast Bank PLC and North South University (NSU) have officially launched an exclusive VISA co-branded credit card and a prepaid card at the NSU campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka.

As part of the collaboration, Southeast Bank introduced co-branded credit cards for NSU faculty and staff, offering a lifetime annual fee waiver along with customized credit limits based on eligibility.

Students also benefit from co-branded prepaid cards, which come with a first-year annual fee waiver and Tk 300 cashback on their first transaction.

These prepaid cards are designed to support both domestic and international transactions, including payments for foreign university application fees, facilitating financial inclusion and easing payment processes for NSU students.
The launch event marked a significant step towards enhancing financial accessibility and convenience for both faculty members and students.

The ceremony was attended by key figures, including NSU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Southeast Bank PLC Managing Director (Current Charge) Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, and Visa Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan Sabbir Ahmed.

The launch event also saw the presence of distinguished guests such as NSU Registrar Ahmed Tazmeen and NSU Treasurer Professor Abdur Rob Khan. Key participants from Southeast Bank included Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Cards Md. Abdus Sabur Khan, Senior Executive Vice President & Head of Information Technology Division Kashef Rahman, and Senior Vice President & Company Secretary Mamunur Rashid.

The collaboration between Southeast Bank and NSU aims to provide a more secure, accessible, and digital financial experience for the academic community.

This initiative reflects the commitment of both institutions to making modern financial solutions more accessible to students and faculty.
