Southeast Bank MD resigns

Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain, the Managing Director of Southeast Bank, has resigned from his position. On July 28, 2025, he submitted his resignation letter to the Chairman of the bank, citing health reasons.

Earlier, on May 4 of this year, the bank’s board of directors had sent Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain on a three-month leave, which was effective until August 4. During this period, Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, the Additional Managing Director, performed the duties of the Managing Director (current responsibility).

Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain was appointed as the Managing Director of Southeast Bank on April 5, 2023. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the bank.
