Shrewsbury School opens South-Asian campus in India

Shrewsbury School, a prestigious 473-year-old institution from the UK, has opened its first South Asian branch in Bhopal, Central India.

The school, known for its world-class education, spans a 150-acre campus, as stated in a press release.

The launch of Shrewsbury International School India has garnered attention from families in Bangladesh who are seeking high-quality international education.

The school is set to welcome its inaugural cohort of students on August 18.

Catering to grades 6 to 12, the school follows the Cambridge Curriculum, preparing students for the IGCSE Examinations in grades 9 and 10, and A-Level programmes in grades 11 and 12.

The campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including specialised laboratories, language-learning centres, and advanced digital resources. Additionally, the school offers studios for performing arts and visual arts, and training in indoor rowing, fencing, and scuba diving, alongside 20 other sports.

Shrewsbury International School is the first full-scale residential campus of Shrewsbury School outside the United Kingdom, although the institution operates in Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Thailand.
