Popular small-screen actress Shobnom Faria tied the knot on Friday afternoon with Tanjim Tayyab, an assistant vice president at a private bank. The actress shared the news personally with the media.
Reflecting on her feelings about marriage, Faria said, “My feelings about marriage have always been complicated. Nothing less than panic. After going through various personal experiences, I thought this chapter might never come in my life. But with time and a sudden family decision, this is the result.”
The wedding took place after Asr prayers at Masjid Al Mustafa on Madani Avenue in Dhaka, attended by close family members. A post-wedding reception for colleagues, relatives and friends is planned in the near future. Faria added, “The decision to get married was sudden. My only sister-in-law is abroad and could not attend, but a reception will follow later.”
About her husband, she shared, “Tanjim is from Rajshahi. He completed his master’s in financial engineering from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and is currently working in a bank.”
Shobnom Faria began her career as a commercial model before moving into television dramas. She gained recognition in 2013 with Adnan Al Rajib’s telefilm ‘18: All Time Dourer Upor’ and went on to star in many popular dramas and telefilms, including ‘Monkey Business’, ‘Fande Poriya Boga Kande’, ‘Backbencher’, ‘Bonolota’, ‘Hok Kolorob’, ‘Anarkoli’, ‘Honeymoon Package’ and ‘Buk Bhora Bhalobasha’.
She has also appeared in films such as Anam Biswas’s Debi and Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s web film ‘Munshigiri’.
