Sheikh Moinuddin has been appointed as a Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser of the interim administration, with the rank and status of a State Minister, a government statement said on Sunday.

According to a notification issued on March 5, he will be overseeing matters related to the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges.

A press release issued on Sunday said that Moinuddin will receive the salary, allowances, and other benefits equivalent to those of a State Minister.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Chief of Safety and Operations at the California Department of Transportation in the United States since 2023.

Moinuddin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana University, a Master’s degree in the same field from California State University, and a PhD in Infrastructure and Environmental Studies from the University of California.
