A ‘Share and Care’ programme was organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on 19 August, involving national team cricketers along with coaching and support staff. However, age-group and women’s team players were not present at the event held at a five-star hotel in the capital.
According to a BCB source, the programme will be conducted again later this month to include men’s Under-19 players, the High Performance (HP) unit, and women cricketers. The BCB president has confirmed that this programme will be held every three months, bringing together all cricketers and cricket-related personnel.
The main aim of the initiative is to address players’ demands, grievances, needs, and any issues related to facilities. Before the women’s team heads to the World Cup, they may meet with board officials under this programme. Previously, the HP and Under-19 players participated in the ‘Share and Care’ programme at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium.
