Seven people have died after a highway bridge collapsed on to railway tracks in Russia on Saturday night, according to emergency services.
According to the Moscow branch of Russian Railways, the incident occurred at around 10:44pm Moscow time (7:44 p.m. GMT), on Saturday, reports Russian News Agency TASS.
As of 8:00am Moscow time (5:00am GMT), 47 people, including three children, have been hospitalized, Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported through his Telegram channel.
Bogomaz added an eight-month-old boy injured in the incident will be taken to Moscow. The injured child will be transported to Moscow by air ambulance.
In an earlier statement, the governor had put the number of those injured in the incident at 66.
The bridge collapsed which caused a passenger train to derail in the Bryansk region. The collapse occurred as a result of interference with the operation of transport, the press service of the Moscow Railway clarified.
The incident took place about 100km (62 miles) from the Ukraine border.
