Seth Meyers recently discussed his concerns about the future of ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ on the podcast ‘Armchair Expert’ with Dax Shepard.

He admitted that the show’s fate feels beyond his control due to the unpredictable state of the entertainment industry, adding that late-night television as a whole may not be sustainable much longer. The interview was recorded before the cancellation of ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’.

When asked if he fears the show could suddenly end, Meyers said he does, not because of his performance, but because of broader industry shifts. He explained that he focuses on doing his job well and trusts his team to handle everything else.

Asked about his financial situation if the show were canceled, Meyers said he’s more concerned about the impact on his mental health than money. While he’s financially secure, he’s made a conscious effort to broaden his skills, including pursuing stand-up comedy and other ventures, to prepare for an uncertain future.
