Security during Eid was satisfactory: Home Adviser

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has stated that the overall law and order situation across the country during Eid-ul-Adha was satisfactory.

He made the remarks on Monday morning while visiting the Jatrabari Police Station in the capital as part of a series of inspections to assess security arrangements during and after the Eid holidays.

During his visit, the adviser toured various sections of the station, including the duty officer’s desk, the women and children support desk, and the detention cells. He also inquired about the accommodation and food quality for on-duty police personnel and exchanged Eid greetings with them.

Speaking to reporters, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, “The law and order situation during Eid-ul-Adha was satisfactory. Apart from a few isolated incidents, no significant uon Mondayntoward events occurred in the capital or elsewhere in the country.”

The adviser is currently visiting multiple police stations in Dhaka to monitor the post-Eid security and ensure continued stability.
